Museos Málaga

Malaga is known by many as the city of museums, since it has a wide range of this type. In this blog we explain very briefly its content so that you know which one to visit. To do so, you can stay in one of our fantastic accommodations.

Museo Picasso Málaga: Málaga is the birthplace of this great artist and this museum, located in the Palacio de los Condes de Buenavista, is a space dedicated to his memory, where a collection of 233 of his works is preserved, which are distributed in 11 rooms.

Centre Pompidou Málaga: located in the Port of Málaga, in a space known as El Cubo, this museum houses a sample of nearly 90 works of art from the 20th and 21st centuries, which are part of the collection of the Center Pompidou France.

Museo Carmen Thyssen: located in the historic center of Malaga is this museum that houses a collection of 285 works of Spanish and Andalusian painting from the 19th and 20th centuries.

Museo Estatal Ruso: this museum is located in an old tobacco factory in the city of Malaga and houses the collection of the Saint Petersburg Russian Museum made up of more than 100 works of art created between the 15th and 20th centuries.

Centro de Arte Contemporáneo: located in a building of the old Malaga Wholesale Market, the CAC, a space dedicated to the dissemination of contemporary art, in its rooms there are samples of the movements and trends of art in the 20th century.

Museo Nacional de Aeropuertos Navegación y Transporte Aéreo: unique in Spain, it houses a collection of more than 4,000 pieces related to the history of aviation and airports, which provide insight into the evolution of aviation during the 20th century.

Museo Automovilístico y de la Moda: this museum has 10 rooms where you can see a collection of more than 90 exclusive car models, as well as interesting and surprising fashion collections.

Museo de Artes y Costumbres Populares de Málaga: Located in a building dating from the 17th century, this museum houses a collection of samples of the customs and arts of this region of Spain.
