Visit the Caminito del Rey
Without a doubt, the Caminito del Rey is an essential visit when you are in Malaga. Reopened to the public after an intensive renovation in 2015, it offers visitors a 8.5-kilometer route between paths and walkways that are suspended 100 meters high. Your visit brings us closer to the Natural Park of the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes, a limestone gorge created by the passage of the Guadalhorce River over millions of years. The culminating moment: crossing the suspension bridge almost at the end of the tour. Good gastronomy, heritage, and an unbeatable atmosphere. Alhaurín el Grande is a good proposal to spend a pleasant day enjoying the sun, and its heritage. Ride your bike along the Senda Litoral
If you like to enjoy the outdoors, and especially the sea, Malaga has more than 100 kilometers of trails that will allow you to enjoy the best coastal landscapes. The Senda Litoral de Málaga brings us closer to the beauty of the coastline and of 14 municipalities in the province. Most of the sections can be done both on foot and by bike, although there is priority for pedestrians. The most recommended sections to do by bike, as they have a specific lane for this, are those of Rincón de la Victoria, which crosses the Cantal Tunnels, and the section that runs between the mouth of the Guadalhorce and El Palo.

In the surroundings of the new Guadalhorce bridge, there is a true oasis of peace between the noise of the city and the sea: the Natural Area of the Guadalhorce Mouth. You will enjoy a unique environment that combines species of birds and flora typical of the riverbank and coastal areas. Walk its two marked routes, the Río Viejo and the Laguna Grande. Or stop to contemplate the ornithological wealth in any of its five bird observatories.

Archeology at La Araña
From February 22 to 26, the Asociación Complejo Humo organizes the White Week children’s workshops at the Archaeological Sites of Playa de la Araña, in Malaga. Every day, for a price of € 12, children between 6 and 12 years old can participate in this activity from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Painting and ceramics will be some of the artistic expressions of the Neolithic that your sons and daughters will discover in these sessions. In addition, the little ones will learn to make some key pieces in the world of survival.
