Located on the road between Alhaurín el Grande and Coín, Venta los Chavos is one of the busiest places in the Guadalhorce Valley that serves homemade meals. It offers its customers varied menus of the day with more than a dozen first and second courses to choose from, every week. At the weekend, it offers grilled meats and an assortment of various homemade desserts. We recommend you enjoy the  food on the porch or terrace, if you are going to have lunch there.

Venta Casa Pedro Lucena, Coín

Ctra. A-404, km, 65, 29100 Coín, Málaga

Venta Casa Pedro Lucena is one of the most traditional restaurants in Coín and a benchmark in the Guadalhorce Valley region. This restaurant, which has been offering meals for 30 years, is famous for its rice dishes and its rabbit-based dishes.

In the beginning, this famous ”venta” was nothing more than the entrance of a humble little house, but it served the best rabbit in the area. Over time, Pedro Lucena managed to grow his business and occupy an important place in the city and its surroundings.

On sunny days, we recommend you enjoy the terrace. For rainy or cold days, the ”venta” has a spacious and elegant lounge where you can enjoy not only an exquisite meal, but also a wonderful dessert.

Venta Los Caballos, Álora

Surrounded by an impressive citrus valley, and next to the Guadalhorce River as it passes through the town of Álora, in the middle of the Caminito del Rey territory, is Venta Los Caballos, Álora. Open since 1978, this family ”venta” that in recent years has specialized in holding events, offers an extensive menu with typical dishes of the local cuisine. We recommend you try the perota soup (perote is the name with which the people of Álora are known), a soup made with vegetables from the garden, potatoes and bread.

Venta el Túnel, Málaga

Located next to the Pantano del Agujero on the Las Pedrizas road, Venta el Túnel is one of the busiest and most visited by Malaga. Venta el Túnel, famous for its rice dishes, is a picturesque and historic place founded in the thirties and that includes traditional dishes as delicious as crumbs with sausage, loin in lard, dish from the mountains, corns, lean pork with tomato… A gastronomic experience that you cannot miss. We recommend you book or visit it early, as it is usually very busy. In the outskirts, you can enjoy a walk through the environment of the Pantano del Agujero and you can buy typical products of Malaga in any of the stalls selling each weekend that are located in the outskirts of the ”venta”.

Venta San Isidro, Antequera

Located in the neighborhood of Los Llanos de Antequera, between Antequera and Mollina, Venta San Isidro is a place where you can enjoy the cuisine of the Paradas family, made with the vegetables produced by their own garden and where you can taste the sausages made by The family itself. The menu also includes classics from Antequera cuisine such as the rabbit with garlic, the crumbs or the whole loin of pellets (similar to the Montes dish).
