encuentro que une a los propietarios del alquiler vacacional en Málaga

On October 24th, the Teatro Antonio Gala in Alhaurín el Grande was filled with excitement, warmth, and shared pride during the second edition of the Cubo’s Owner Summit. More than 450 property owners, together with institutional representatives, authorities, and partners from the tourism sector, joined us for a day that has become an essential event for vacation rentals in Málaga.

📈 A Year of Growth and Commitment

During his speech, Juan Cubo, CEO of Cubo’s Holiday Homes, highlighted the pillars that sustain the company’s growth: constant adaptation to regulatory changes, technological innovation, transparency with property owners, and the value of the human team as its greatest strength.

The year 2025 is proving to be one of consolidation: over 30,000 travelers have trusted Cubo’s through September, with an average stay of more than 8 nights and 79.5% international visitors.

Thanks to the joint effort of our property owners, the tourism activity managed by Cubo’s has reached an economic impact of more than 53 million euros, showing how vacation rentals drive employment and local prosperity, especially in inland municipalities.

In addition, we reaffirm our social commitment by collaborating with organizations such as Un Sí Por La Vida and Hogar Abierto, because we believe that tourism should also create well-being and opportunities for everyone.

✨ Innovation, Legal Framework, and Guest Experience

One of the most anticipated moments of the Summit was the presentation of the work carried out by the different departments of Cubo’s Holiday Homes, showcasing how professionalism, technology, and a personal approach continue to make the difference.

  • Marketing (Paula Gómez) presented the new digital campaigns and influencer collaborations, as well as the launch of loyalty strategies aimed at increasing direct bookings and strengthening the Cubo’s brand.

  • Product (Beatriz) discussed the improvements in property presentation, the creation of more appealing visual content, and new connections with international platforms to boost bookings, especially during mid and low season.

  • Revenue (Juan Manuel and Alejandro) analyzed this year’s results following the implementation of dynamic pricing, which has helped optimize profitability and maintain stable occupancy even in months of lower demand.

  • Guest Relations (Natalia) explained the implementation of direct communication channels and the automation of responses through artificial intelligence, improving response times and guest satisfaction.

  • Quality (Alejandro) introduced the new system for individual property monitoring, designed to detect improvement opportunities and reinforce maintenance and cleaning standards.

  • Legal Department (Marina) provided an update on the new tourism regulations, with special focus on the Unique Rental Registration Number.

This presentation reflected the team’s strong commitment to moving toward a more efficient, transparent management model aligned with the demands of today’s market.

💬 The Vacation Rental Sector: Risks and Opportunities

One of the most insightful moments of the event was the panel discussion “The Vacation Rental Sector: Risks and Opportunities”, a space for dialogue where the main challenges and future perspectives of the sector were analyzed.

The panel featured Mar Alcázar, lawyer specialized in tourism and legal advisor to the Alhaurín el Grande City Council; Álvaro Graciani, lawyer and economist, expert in taxation and well-known commentator on tourism regulation; Juanjo Bande, architect and real estate project developer, recognized for his informative work on social media; Gabriel Pérez, Commercial Director at Roomonitor, a technology company specialized in monitoring and property control; and Juan Cubo, in his role as President of AVVAPRO (Association of Tourist Homes of Andalusia).

During the discussion, the speakers addressed the regulatory changes the sector will face in the coming years, the digitalization of processes, tax responsibilities for property owners, sustainability, and the importance of maintaining professionalism as a guarantee for the future.
They agreed that balancing economic development, regulation, and sustainability will be essential to continue strengthening the Andalusian vacation rental model.
