The Mudejar past <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Arab roots in the towns of Axarqu\u00eda are very present in towns such as Arenas, \u00c1rchez, Salares, Sedella or Canillas de Aceituno<\/strong>. In them you can enjoy urban planning dotted with minarets, arcades and other details of Mudejar architecture, which is what the Arabs left us as a heritage. You can enjoy the exotic beauty of these towns thanks to the Mud\u00e9jar Route<\/a><\/strong>, which runs along these towns located on the slopes of the Sierras Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama Natural Park<\/strong> (which also enables direct contact with nature during all the way).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The paradise beaches around\u00a0Maro <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If your weakness is beaches where nature is the protagonist, the\u00a0beaches in Maro (Nerja district) are an ideal place to disconnect. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Cala de Maro<\/strong> is a small beach with crystalline waters flanked by the spectacular Cliffs of Maro and Cerro Gordo<\/strong> and which is accessed through a winding road between tropical fruit orchards. This coastal strip is rigorously preserved and includes a protected area that extends into the sea. Fishing is not allowed within the area and over the years, it has led to an explosion of marine life. Snorkeling, kayaking or diving are some of the options that you can practice on your visit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Know the Raisin and its cultivation <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To speak of Axarqu\u00eda is to speak of raisins and their cultivation, recognized three years ago by Unesco as World Agricultural Heritage. The Ruta de la Pasa<\/a> runs for kilometers through the towns of Total\u00e1n, Comares, C\u00fatar, El Borge, Alm\u00e1char and Moclinejo<\/strong>. The climate and the special characteristics of the terrain in this area have allowed the muscatel grape to dry in raisins, leaving a whole system of cultivation and drying that splashes the entire landscape of almost vertical vineyards, wineries and paseros (places where the raisins dry).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frigiliana, one of the most beautiful towns in Spain <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Frigiliana<\/a> is undoubtedly one of the most charming villages in Malaga. Awarded the First National Beautification Award in 1982, its historic center has been a Historic Artistic Complex<\/strong> since 2014. Walking through Frigiliana takes us back to its Andalusian past, with an urban layout full of nooks and narrow streets on endless stairs that run all over Barribarto. From its Plaza de las Tres Culturas you can enjoy magnificent views of the coast, as well as a varied gastronomy in the dozens of restaurants that exist in the municipality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discover Caleta de V\u00e9lez <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

La Caleta de V\u00e9lez<\/strong> is a small urban center with a purely marine character that in recent years has become an attractive place to enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets on the Costa del Sol, coinciding with the return of fishing boats returning from fish. The marina offers numerous options for enjoying boat and catamaran rides, as well as a gastronomic offer focused on seafood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
