Christmas is coming we feel like making plans and enjoying these days with family and friends. With great caution, we bring you closer to some of the plans that you can take advantage of these days for a Christmas in Malaga.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lighting in Calle Larios<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To speak of Christmas in Malaga<\/a> is to speak of the lighting of Calle Larios. Although this year there are no musical shows, the lighting extends to more downtown streets, such as Calle Marqu\u00e9s, Sagasta, Souvir\u00f3n, Plaza de Camas, Calle Herrera del Rey, Puerta del Mar, Calle Moreno Carbonero, Calle \u00c1lamos and Granada Street. The busiest times are from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., so we recommend you visit the lighting areas outside these hours. In any case, the Malaga City Council <\/a>has arranged a capacity control system to avoid crowds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nativity scenes of the Brotherhoods<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The brotherhoods and brotherhoods of the city offer their traditional nativity scenes throughout the city. You can visit up to fifteen nativity scenes throughout the month of December and until the feast of the Three Kings. We recommend a visit to the Bethlehem of the Association of Brotherhoods, located in the chancel of the Church of San Juli\u00e1n, which is the canonical seat of the official organ of Holy Week in Malaga. You can visit it until January 5 from Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also recommend you to visit the Solidarity Bethlehem installed by the Brotherhood of the Captive in the Bail\u00e9n Market. Visitors are asked to bring non-perishable food during their visit that can be purchased in the market itself and that will go to the most disadvantaged families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harry Potter exhibition in Antequera<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Fans of the Harry Potter saga are in luck this Christmas. The Royal Collegiate Church of Santa Mar\u00eda hosts the Antequera M\u00e1gica exhibition until January 4 with magical settings full of mystery in an exceptional and unmatched setting due to its unique history and value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors will be able to delve into the most iconic scenes of the J.K. Rowling, from the famous platform to the hat that will show you which house you belong to. All these activities will be carried out strictly following the health measures recommended by the authorities to combat COVID-19. Christmas markets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Despite the situation of the COVID pandemic, there are several cities that have opted to launch Christmas markets following health and safety measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From December 4 to January 5, Puerto Ban\u00fas hosts its Christmas Market for the third year. The most famous marina in the province will have numerous booths decorated for the occasion with Christmas products, sweets, decorations, jewellery and toys. In addition, workshops and children’s activities have been organized, as well as performances and concerts inspired by Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Malaga capital we will have another year with the Paseo del Parque Christmas Market. With a total of 70 stalls (opening this year), the market will open throughout the month of December and until Three Kings’ Day, with strict security measures and respecting distances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Museum of Nativity Scenes in Mollina<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Nativity Scene Museum, located in the Malaga town of Mollina<\/a>, is an international benchmark for Nativity Scene Art. The museum, which reopened its doors on December 12, brings together nativity scenes in places as unusual as the “Roman Theater of Cartagena”, the “favelas of Rio de Janeiro” or the Church of Our Lady of Remedies in Antequera, the Courtyard of the Lions of the Alhambra or the Cathedral of Burgos. The Nativity Scene Museum is divided into two zones. The main one is the interior area where the more than 60 artistic nativity scenes are exhibited. The tour is complemented by an outdoor exhibition area of arts and customs with farm implements, two oil mills and the representation of a popular Andalusian house. His visit has been an essential part of Christmas in Malaga for two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
